# Defining product sets

Combining products into Product sets allows the correct calculation materials to be automatically selected for the specified roof. This function is primarily applicable to roofs created with the Roof Wizard where the slopes are interconnected. Given a complete set of data on the shape of the roof, places of connection (valley or ridge), the system can automatically select the right products for the right places. For example, a valley gutter will be applied to the valley edge if it has been defined in the kit.

The kits are divided into separate types: Roof, Façade, Roof insulation, Façade insulation, Guttering, Soffit.

# Roof

When defining a roof type set, add one roofing product (e.g. Tile,!!! ), sheeting, screws, a set of matching flashings. The flashings defined in the Products module should have the Location parameter correctly defined. Based on the roof model, the system will select a set of matching flashings during the calculation. For example, on a 4 pitch roof, neither a valley gutter nor a wind gutter will be calculated, even though they were part of the defined flashings.

Products defined according to the algorithm should be added to this set

# Soffit

The soffit set should include materials defined as !!!. The system will optimise the material for the soffit and the matching battens, optimising material consumption within the overall roof.

# Guttering

When defining a kit of type guttering and giving it, for example, the name "System guttering X 120/90", all the products included in the kit should be added: connectors, barb, hooks, gutters (various lengths), downpipes (various lengths). The software will optimally select the lengths of gutters and pipes, choosing the appropriate number of hooks (based on the parameters of individual products). A prerequisite for the correct operation of the guttering calculation is a correctly defined roof, with slopes that have a given slope and are correctly connected to each other. A roof generated from the roof wizard (web) or from the roof library (desktop application) meets these criteria.

# How to create a product set

To create a kit, log on to rsdachy.co.uk and then select RS Dachy5 / Product Sets. Only the root user has the kits option available and has permission to define kits.

To add a new set, select the New product set and fill the basic fields:

• Name - commercial name of the covering or orrinning system
• Manufacturer - the name of the manufacturer
• Description
• Set type - one of the items determining the type of set: roof, facade, roof insulation, facade insulation, glowing, headlining.
• Feature1 - additional field
• Size1 - additional field
• Size2 - additional field

After creating, you can load a photo and assign a scheme of features product features

Then, using the button, Add items assign products to the set

After adding products, select Save
