# Guttering system : Pipe connectors

Pipe couplings are components that connect pipes to other components.

The main parameter of this product is Type of downpipe connector - there are 3 types of downpipe connectors:

• Elbow - used to connect pipes when the downpipe is far from the wall (eaves depth). In this case, the system counts two elbows for each gutter drain.
• Coupling - used to connect downpipes when the length of the façade exceeds the maximum downpipe length and 2 downpipes must be used. The connecting element between these pipes is the connector.
• Spout - the termination of a downpipe at the bottom. It can be a spout or a settling tank.
